Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high‑quality nursing care within a correctional facility in Wisconsin. The RN will assess patient needs, provide direct care, respond to emergencies, administer medications, and support health and safety of the patient population.

Schedule: Day shift 6:00am - 6:30pm includes every other weekend and holiday. This role requires an active RN license in good standing and CPR/BLS certification, with ability to work in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in correctional, emergency, medical-surgical, long-term care, or behavioral health nursing preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting.
• Assess, triage, and respond to patient health concerns and medical requests.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and facility policies.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
• Monitor patients with acute, chronic, and ongoing medical needs.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
• Coordinate care with providers, mental health staff, custody staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Assist with sick call, follow-up appointments, and ongoing patient care needs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and facility guidelines.
• Follow infection control, safety, and security procedures at all times.
