Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care within a correctional healthcare setting in Stanley, Wisconsin. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team in a secure environment.

Requirements include an active RN license, at least 1 year of correctional nursing experience, and current BLS certification. ACLS is preferred if required by the facility.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of correctional nursing experience.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and therapies per provider orders.
• Monitor patient conditions and initiate interventions as needed.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide emergency care.
• Document assessments and outcomes in electronic medical record.
• Educate patients on health conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure patient confidentiality in a secure environment.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development.
