Job summary

Inland Respite, Inc. seeks compassionate Respite Care Providers to support families caring for individuals with developmental disabilities in the Cathedral City area.

You will assist with daily activities, provide companionship, ensure safety, and help implement engaging, home-based routines while respecting family needs and client comfort. Flexible part-time roles offer local scheduling and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Driver’s License or State-Issued ID.
• Valid auto insurance coverage.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (Infants, Children, and Adults).
• Current negative TB test.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (bilingual preferred).
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• The essential duties include ensuring safety and providing companionship to someone with a disability.
• Assist with daily activities (feeding, dressing, toileting).
• Follow daily routines and assist with homework as needed.
• Engage clients in age-appropriate activities and build positive relationships with families and clients.
