Job summary

Cascade Terrace is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide respiratory therapy, patient care, rehabilitation, and diagnostic evaluation for individuals with pulmonary needs in our hospital setting. Education includes an ASN and graduation from a respiratory care program; state licensure and CPR/BLS with ACLS are required.

Minimum 1 year of acute/subacute experience is preferred; strong communication and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited school.
• Graduate of a respiratory care program.
• BS in health care field preferred.
• Minimum of one year respiratory experience in acute and/or subacute unit preferred.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license for the practicing state.
• Must hold CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct patient care.
• Receive and follow supervisor instructions and facility procedures.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform focused interviews to identify patient needs and plan outcomes of care.
• Assess signs and symptoms and document diagnoses and status changes.
• Coordinate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary staff for care plans.
