Job summary

Masonic Homes of California in Covina, CA is seeking a dedicated Transportation Driver to assist residents by transporting to medical appointments, recreation, and other activities in a handicap-accessible vehicle. The role requires maintaining a clean DMV record, following schedules, and ensuring safety during trips.

You will train staff, perform basic safety checks, and coordinate with health service leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of driving experience with a good driving record.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and communicate tactfully.
• Experience with elderly residents is desirable.
• Safety-conscious with good judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency driving assignments to medical clinics and hospitals.
• Assist residents with or without wheelchairs in and out of vehicles.
• Maintain basic safety inspections prior to trips and record mileage/gas.
• Train staff on vehicle inspections and transporting residents in handicap-accessible vans.
• Attend mandatory meetings and support residents' needs.
