Job summary

Mosaic is seeking a Dining Assistant to support meal service and resident dining experiences. You will assist with meal preparation, serve meals with care, and help maintain a clean dining environment in a collaborative team setting.

The role requires good English communication, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and prior dining or hospitality experience. Training will cover Mosaic and state requirements, ensuring high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to prepare, serve and safely handle food.
• Strong interpersonal skills with residents and staff.
• Read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift 40–50 pounds.
• Experience in dining, food service or hospitality.
• Willingness to complete Mosaic and state-m mandated training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service per established menus and resident dietary needs.
• Serve meals promptly with correct portions and presentation standards.
• Provide respectful, courteous service to residents, guests and staff.
• Ensure special diets and texture modifications are followed for each resident.
• Monitor resident satisfaction during mealtimes and report concerns to Dining Services Manager.
• Accurately record employee and resident meals daily for cost tracking and billing.
• Assist residents with meal selections and preferences.
• Clean and maintain dining room, kitchen and service areas to Mosaic standards.
