Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; communicate effectively.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• HIPAA awareness and ability to maintain resident confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Interact with residents at all levels of care with empathy and respect.
• Serve residents in dining areas at meals; participate in leisure activities as scheduled.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents and staff.
• Report health or emotional changes to supervisor promptly.
