Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience.
Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Knowledge of word processing software and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule and respectful interactions with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.
Assists with ADL's, meals, light housekeeping, and laundry while promoting resident independence.
Interacts with residents at all care levels with empathy, kindness, and respect.
Observes and reports changes in resident health and mood to supervisor.
Serves and assists residents in dining at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
Initiates and participates in leisure activities per the activity calendar.
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment at all times.
Performs daily housekeeping tasks per established schedules.
Responds promptly to resident requests for assistance and inquiries from families.
