Job summary

Aviva Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support seniors in a caring, home-like environment at our Nashville-area community. You will assist residents with daily activities, monitor changes in condition, and document notes to ensure safety and quality of care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred CNA experience and memory-care skills. You will work on-site with a team that values empathy, professionalism, and clear communication with residents'

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• One year of related work experience preferred; CNA preferred.
• Ability to safely assist residents with ADLs.
• Experience caring for memory-impaired residents preferred.
• Ability to work with elderly in a courteous and compassionate manner.
• Maintain calm, professional demeanor and present a neat image.
• Communicate effectively with families, residents, and staff.
• Follow facility policies, including food handling and state regulations.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist residents with ADLs such as transferring and personal hygiene.
• Report changes in residents' condition or behavior.
• Document vitals, activities, incidents, and observations by end of shift.
• Follow the supervisor's schedule for residents' needs.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Adhere to community policies and procedures.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
