Job summary

United Church Homes in Beavercreek is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Assistant to enhance the quality of life for our residents. You will accompany residents to appointments, assist with personal care, and help create a comfortable, homelike environment.

No prior experience is required, but solid communication and empathy are essential. You will follow safety protocols, document progress, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure attentive, respectful care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.
• Experience with dementia care training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in resident care as assigned by supervisor and report changes.
• Respond to call lights promptly and support resident needs.
• Document incidents and progress in medical chart.
• Welcome new residents and help them adjust to the environment.
• Assist with meals and personal care following safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident units and supplies.
• Transport residents to activities as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
