Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on support to residents in a community setting. You’ll assist with daily activities, help ensure safety and comfort, and be a friendly presence to residents.

The role emphasizes collaboration, clear communication, and compassionate care. Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required; Minnesota/Wisconsin CNA certification is mentioned as preferred; ability to pass background check and read/write English; part-time schedule

Qualifications

• Experience as caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role preferred but not required.
• Must be able to pass a state-background check.
• Physical ability to perform the duties.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
