Buckner Retirement Services in Longview, TX is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Assistant to support residents in our Assisted Living Unit. You will perform essential daily care to promote happiness and well-being, aligning with Buckner's standards of quality, service, and hospitality.

The role requires completing personal care tasks, assisting with meals and mobility, and collaborating with a nurse and care team.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Current Texas CNA license preferred.
Minimum one year of related experience.
Ability to assist residents with basic needs and daily activities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
Ability to stand/walk for long periods (≈75% of shift).

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal hygiene and baths.
Aid with meals, feeding, mobility, and hydration.
Administer non-sterile dressings and basic treatments.
Record intake/output, monitor vital signs, and collect specimens as directed.
Provide prompt response to call lights and communicate observations to the nurse.
Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with transports.
Collaborate with the care team to deliver compassionate resident care.
Support Buckner's ministry and values in daily interactions.
