Job summary

Arcadia Care Watseka is seeking a Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to support residents with daily tasks and activities in a compassionate, customer-service oriented environment. You will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure high-quality care during residents’ stay.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily activities, helping with crafts, preparing rooms, distributing meals, and handling light housekeeping tasks while maintaining safety and dignity at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in-room residents by visiting, letter writing, running errands and helping with crafts.
• Prepare rooms for new residents' arrival.
• Assist with distribution of food trays to residents.
• Organize and maintain resident property per policy and standards.
• Help with resident laundry and bed making.
• Answer call-lights and coordinate with staff as needed.
• Address resident concerns with appropriate department heads.
• Escort residents to activities or other areas as required.
• Provide back-up support to front-desk receptionist to maintain service levels.
• Participate in special projects as needed.
