Job summary

Portside at Grande Dunes is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Assistant to deliver physical and psychosocial care to residents, promoting dignity and independence. You will report to the shift supervisor and Wellness Director, and participate in a range of daily living activities while maintaining a compassionate, professional demeanor.

The role offers full-time hours, on-site work, and benefits including time off, health insurance, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist.
• Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases; lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides all necessary care and services to assigned residents and assists other wellness department associates as needed.
• Works collaboratively with peers and other team members.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, eating, and mobility.
• Maintains professional demeanor with residents and families.
• Reports any suspected or witnessed abuse to licensed staff immediately.
• Documents provision of services on company forms.
• Operates designated medical equipment and communication devices.
• Escorts residents and coordinates internal transportation needs.
• Observes and reports changes in residents' condition to Wellness Director or supervisor.
