Job summary

Portside at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Assistant to provide physical and psychosocial care, upholding dignity, choice, and individuality. You will report to the shift supervisor and the Wellness Director.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, collaborating with team members, observing changes, documenting care, and following safety protocols to ensure a safe, respectful living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background checks may be required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides all necessary care and services to assigned residents and assists other wellness department associates as needed.
• Works collaboratively with peers and other team members.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, hygiene, toileting, eating, and mobility.
• Maintains professional demeanor when interacting with residents and families.
• Documents provision of services on company forms.
• Observes and reports changes in residents' condition to Wellness Director or supervisor.
• Conducts rounds and ensures environmental safety.
