Job summary

The Summit of Winter Garden is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Assistant to provide physical and psychosocial care to residents in a warm, family-like setting. You will assist with daily living activities, maintain dignity and individuality, and support the Wellness Director in delivering compassionate care.

Ideal candidates have prior Assisted Living experience, are physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds, and can pass drug testing and background checks.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.
• Completion of competency checklist required.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical and psychosocial care to residents.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, personal hygiene).
• Maintains professional demeanor when interacting with residents and families.
• Reports changes in residents’ condition to Wellness Director or supervisor.
• Documents provision of services on company forms.
• Operates designated office and communication equipment.
• Escorts residents and coordinates internal transportation needs.
• Observes and reports safety hazards and emergencies promptly.
