Job summary

Avera Mother Joseph Manor Retirement Community in Sioux Center, IA is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide compassionate personal care to residents in accordance with care plans.

You will assist with meals, medications, bathing, housekeeping, and laundry, document vitals, monitor changes, and report to licensed staff. This role requires CNA or Medication Aide certification within 120 days, HS diploma or GED, and a friendly, team-driven attitude.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required if acting as Medication Aide.
• CNA or Medication Aide license required within 120 days.
• Less than 1 year experience in people-related business; food service helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including meals, meds, bathing, and laundry.
• Document and report changes in residents' condition to the nurse.
• Administer medications per policy; credentialed as Med Aide if trained.
• Maintain clean, sanitary environment and prepare rooms for admission, transfer, discharge.
• Support activities and engage residents in social and recreational activities.
