Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide to provide quality care and support with daily living activities in our senior living community. You will respond to calls, assist with mobility, and help maintain a clean environment while following all policies and confidentiality rules.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, complete a state-approved PCA program, and be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• The Resident Assistant/PCA provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents.
• Reports incidents to appropriate individuals (e.g., HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Performs housekeeping duties and maintains clean resident and common areas.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
• Assists residents to dining and activities, and accompanies as needed.
