Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate, educate) to provide patient care.
• Performs assessments through data collection of patient’s physical and psychosocial status and health history.
• Plans patient care through individualized care and incorporates patient/family input.
• Implements physician orders and care plan interventions in a timely manner.
• Evaluates and prioritizes patient care decisions and communicates information to care providers.
• Educates patient and family to meet health care needs considering learning needs and barriers.
• Responds to emergency situations as needed.
• Utilizes the medication administration system in compliance with requirements.
• Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
