Job summary

Trinity Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. The incumbent will deliver care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while maintaining professional standards.

The RN will perform patient assessments, plan individualized care with input from patients and families, and implement physician orders promptly.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate, educate) in providing patient care.
• Performs assessments collecting patient physical, psychosocial data and health history.
• Plans patient care through individualization of care and incorporates patient/family input.
• Implements physician orders and treatments according to the care plan on schedule.
• Evaluates and prioritizes patient care decisions and communicates relevant information to care providers.
• Educates the patient and family to meet health care needs using learning needs assessment.
• Participates and responds appropriately to emergency situations.
• Utilizes the medication administration system and is in compliance with requirements.
• Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
