Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health unit. The RN will care for patients with diagnoses such as depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and detox populations, using the nursing process with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an active RN license. Acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree – Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing
• Registered Nurse License required
• Acute care experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
• Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate teaching, health promotion and patient education with ethics and professional standards
