Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality bedside and direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will apply the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and staff, and contribute to patient education and safety initiatives across units.

This role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, and at least six months of RN experience; on-site shift coverage from 0700 to 1900, Monday through Friday, with PRN availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family education.
• Communicates with the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth and development.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
