Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role includes triage, taking patient history and vital signs, and initiating immediate care for emergencies.

The RN will assist physicians, educate patients and families, and support discharge and follow-up planning while ensuring quality and safety across care settings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing assessments and critical decision making.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive history taking and physical exams.
• Proficiency in triage, monitoring, and patient safety practices.
• Ability to explain procedures and provide clear discharge instructions.
• Competence in coordinating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments, intervenes promptly, and participates in care planning.
• Regularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services per physician plans.
• Processes physician orders accurately and follows up on changes.
• Evaluates treatment effectiveness and suggests plan adjustments.
• Collaborates with team to update the treatment plan and ensure safety.
