Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care, triage, obtain history and vital signs, and assess acuity in a fast-paced setting. The nurse responds to life-threatening situations when physicians are unavailable and supports both acute and non-acute patients.

Duties include nursing assessments, following orders, administering meds, coordinating care with the team, and educating patients and families on discharge and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license and BLS Certification.
• Experience in acute and non-acute patient care preferred.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and participate in care planning.
• Regularly assess patient needs and provide nursing services per plan.
• Process physician orders accurately and follow up on medications.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and suggest plan adjustments.
• Collaborate with the team to update the treatment plan.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge instructions.
