Job summary

Golden Grove Recovery is seeking a Qualified Medication Assistant Professional (QMAP) to ensure safe medication administration and patient monitoring in a behavioral health setting. The role emphasizes attentiveness, compassion, and adherence to policy while supporting nursing staff and maintaining a calm, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include medication handling, vital signs, documentation, and collaboration with the clinical team to promote patient dignity and safe treatment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current QMAP certification in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
• 1+ year of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or residential treatment preferred.
• Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and patient rights.
• Ability to document and follow instructions related to medication handling and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and store all medication orders from the pharmacy in alignment with facility policy.
• Take and record patient vital signs on schedule and per established protocols.
• Observe and document self-administration of medications accurately and respectfully, ensuring safety and adherence to all policies.
• Support nursing staff during medical emergencies and assist as directed by the Director of Nursing or assigned nurse.
• Maintain and monitor security of on-site narcotics, reporting discrepancies and helping prevent misuse or diversion.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by a supervisor or clinical team member.
