Job summary

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our rehabilitation team. You will work directly with patients to improve mobility, restore function, and enhance quality of life within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will implement treatment plans, assist with interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (Associate degree required).
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Montana.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with rehabilitation staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing individualized therapy plans
• Guide patients through exercises and functional activities
• Observe and report patient progress and responses to treatment
• Document care and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and transportation
• Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, heat, and massage
• Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
