Job summary

Apex Companion Care, part of LHC Group within UnitedHealth Group, is seeking PRN Home Caregivers in St. Augustine, FL to support clients at home. The role emphasizes compassionate personal care, daily living assistance, and flexible shifts in the surrounding area.

Qualified applicants have a driver’s license/insurance, ability to work across diverse home settings, and preferably CPR certification with 6+ months home care experience. Training and remote support provided.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, or access to a dependable vehicle
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of client background
• State-specific requirement in FL: complete 40 hours of AHCA-required training or pass home health aide competency test

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, medication reminders)
• Support household tasks, meal prep, and accompany clients to appointments or errands
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment and operate medical equipment; respond promptly to client needs
