Apex Companion Care, part of the LHC Group and Optum family, is hiring PRN Caregivers for Fernandina Beach, FL. You will provide in-home care, assist with daily living activities, and support clients to stay safely in their own homes.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, reliable transportation, and the ability to work flexible hours across multiple shifts in Fernandina Beach and surrounding areas. CPR certification and 6+ months’ home care experience are preferred.

As a home-based Caregiver, you will provide support, assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to be able to remain in their own home. We are hiring PRN Caregivers for multiple shifts in Fernandina Beach and the surrounding areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs

Required Qualifications:

• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

State-Specific Requirement:

• FL: Successful completion of at least forty hours of training in areas required by the Agency for Health Care Administration OR successfully passed the home health aide competency test (Form AHCA 3110-1007 created by AHCA).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of experience in home care
• Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified clients’ needs

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $13.00 to $20.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
