Job summary

Kintegra Health in Shelby, North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Podiatrist for a full-time, on-site role. You will report to the Chief Medical Officer and provide comprehensive podiatry services with a patient-centered and integrated approach.

The position focuses on diagnosing and treating foot and lower leg conditions, coordinating care, and mentoring staff, with emphasis on diabetes-related foot care and preventive services.

Responsibilities

• Review patients’ medical history to evaluate the condition of the feet, ankle or lower leg.
• Carry out diagnosis on the feet through X-ray examination and medical laboratory tests.
• Refer patients to other providers and specialists within the Kintegra team to treat conditions such as diabetes or arthritis.
• Prescribe medication and/or administer treatment for certain feet conditions: plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, corns/callouses, heel stress, athlete’s foot, among others.
• Direct and supervise the activities of the Medical Assistant.
• Advise patients on ways to increase speed of recovery and prevent future leg problems.
