Job summary

Mercy Health's Physical Therapy team is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to provide skilled therapeutic interventions across inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics, and off-site locations. You will document progress in the electronic health record and support established treatment programs for diverse patients.

Responsibilities include following treatment plans, maintaining records, and contributing to patient and family education.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist and monitors response to treatment.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment provided and patient’s progress.
• Maintains departmental policies and procedures regarding safety and infection control.
• Precepts students during clinical experiences and internships.
• Observes and reports patients’ responses and progress to the Physical Therapist.
