Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering physical therapy services. You will perform procedures, document patient progress, and adjust treatments under supervision while ensuring safety and age-appropriate care.

Qualifications

• The Physical Therapist Assistant shall have a minimum of an Associate degree.
• Licensure: The Physical Therapist Assistant shall hold a current license to perform as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy.
• Experience: Physical Therapist Assistant may be entry level.
• Certifications: American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy and document patient progress notes.
• Modify treatment procedures within the plan as patient status changes.
• Provide technical assistance and direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate workload in the department.
• Address age-specific needs and ensure patient safety and comfort according to policy.
