Job summary

Oak Hill Manor is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will document treatments, note changes in condition, and communicate with the supervising therapist to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program and a current New York State PTA license; experience in long-term care settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited PTA Program
• Current New York State PTA License
• Experience in long–term settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referral to Registered Physical Therapist.
• Implements and modifies the patient’s physical therapy plan of treatment with RPT supervision
• Measuring & recording residents motor function, strength and muscle performance
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies it during treatment sessions as necessary.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
