Job summary

Twin-Oaks-Health- is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support residents under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist. You will perform treatments, tests and evaluations and collaborate with the rehab team to plan patient care.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, maintaining equipment, complying with policies, and assisting in scheduling and billing-related tasks as needed. Must work with compassion and ensure safety in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Employee may assist in evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatments, tests and evaluations of residents under the supervision of the Registered Physical Therapist.
• Complies with facility policies, safety rules and procedures.
• Reports to on-site Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist and collaborates with the rehab team.
• Maintains resident confidentiality and treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Documents resident progress and treatments as directed by the therapist.
• Maintains and inventories durable medical equipment and orders supplies for the therapy department.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and participates in required meetings.
