Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work closely with Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy services aimed at improving mobility, strength, independence, and residents’ overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Active Florida PTA license in good standing
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to residents
• Monitor resident progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
• Assist residents with gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and strengthening exercises
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and outcomes
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and exercises as directed
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures
