Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy program preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience and/or certification required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens (venipuncture and skin puncture) and non-blood samples per protocol.
• Ensure proper labeling, ordering, and transport of specimens.
• Perform order entry transcription for laboratory tests.
• Explain and administer patient notices when testing lacks medical necessity.
• Maintain safe and compliant handling of specimens and equipment.
