Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a compassionate CNA to perform daily patient care, including activities of daily living and vital sign collection, under the supervision of a registered nurse or patient care manager.

Responsibilities include non-sterile treatments, phlebotomy and EKGs as assigned, with a focus on PFCC and exceptional service to patients and families. Prior CNA certification or current nursing program enrollment is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a CNA or complete certification prior to completion of orientation or has completed one clinical nursing school rotation and currently enrolled in a nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Conduits daily patient care activities including activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Collects data: weights, temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure measurements.
• Performs non-sterile treatments, e.g., cold compresses.
• Performs phlebotomy and EKGs as assigned.
• Maintains active involvement in educational activities related to role.
