Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Phlebotomy Training program required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Some evening or weekend work will be required.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others.
• Able to perform venous, arterial, capillary draws on adult and pediatric patients as per procedure.
• Identifies patients and labels all tubes, as per policy, without mislabeling.
• Draws the correct amount and in the correct tubes/preserves specimens as needed.
• Draws and delivers blood to the lab in a timely manner.
• Follows through on collections that have been re-scheduled.
• Responds to patient codes as necessary.
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
• Attends all mandatory in-services.
• Dresses professionally and provides courteous service.
