Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
• ASCP Phlebotomy Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently performs venipuncture, capillary and arterial collections with minimum discomfort.
• Establishes positive patient identification prior to procedures.
• Accurately labels specimens according to policies.
• Provides patient instruction for non-blood specimen collection.
• Prioritizes specimen collection requests and responds to Stat, times and routine requests.
• Processes specimens for testing and transports between sites as needed.
