Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year phlebotomy or Lab Assistant experience preferred.
• Licenses and certifications not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with proper patient identification and infection-control techniques.
• Activate and enter laboratory orders, coordinate with staff to obtain orders and verify ABN documentation as needed.
• Receive, prepare, and process specimens for delivery to the hospital laboratory or courier transport.
• Conduct waived testing and assemble or prepare testing kits per lab protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and orderly workstations in compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new phlebotomy staff.
