Responsibilities

• Greet patients and instruct on proper specimen collection.
• Draw blood via finger sticks, heel sticks, or venipuncture; collect other specimens as required.
• Label specimens correctly and enter data into the computer.
• Prepare samples for microbiology, hematology, serology, blood bank and urinalysis.
• Assist with clerical duties by answering telephone calls.
