Mountain Community Health Partnership in North Carolina is seeking a full-time phlebotomist to support patient care through blood collection, specimen processing, and in-house CLIA‑waived testing. You will maintain equipment, document results, and enter data into the EMR, while guiding patients through collection procedures and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Two years of phlebotomy experience and a phlebotomy certification are required; bilingual abilities are a plus, with travel between MCHP

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy certification.
• 2+ years of phlebotomy experience.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages.
• Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Conduct CLIA-waived in-house testing and document results.
• Maintain QC records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Enter patient and specimen data into the EMR accurately.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine instrument maintenance.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and documentation.
• Educate patients on specimen collection procedures.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during collection.
• Protect patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with quality improvement and regulatory activities.
• Support clinic operations through teamwork and customer service.
