Job summary

Compass Oncology in Tigard, OR is hiring a Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant for the West Cancer Clinic. The role focuses on blood collection, port/central line draws, and supporting in-house testing. Expect full-time, 40 hours weekly with a competitive hourly wage and standard benefits.

Under supervision, you will document results, manage logs, and assist with QA and safety procedures. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred but entry-level candidates are considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Education from an accredited school of phlebotomy.
• 0-3 years of experience; venous blood draws required.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens from patients as ordered.
• Keeps proper documentation per QA program and logs.
• Maintains inventory and ensures supplies are viable for collection.
• Sends specimens to reference labs for tests not performed in house.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment and adheres to safety policies.
• Performs waived lab testing under CLIA guidelines.
