Job summary

Compass Oncology in Tigard, OR is seeking a Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant to join the West Cancer Clinic team. It focuses on specimen collection, including venous blood draws, and participates in in-house testing to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education from an accredited school of phlebotomy.
• Entry level with 0–3 years of experience; venous blood draws required; central line/port experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens as ordered.
• Maintains documentation and accessioning logs, equipment records, and checklists.
• Maintains adequate supplies and ensures viability before use.
• Sends specimens to reference laboratories for tests not done in-house.
• Processes in-house and incoming reports; updates daily paperwork and logs.
• Properly identifies and labels specimens and patients for transfusion or testing.
