Job summary

Actalent in Culver City or Manhattan Beach, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have venipuncture skills, patient-focused service, and a commitment to a positive patient experience.

This is a contract-to-hire, onsite role with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour. A high school diploma is required; phlebotomy certification and 1 year of experience are preferred, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of blood collection procedures and specimen handling.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures on patients of all ages.
Verify patient information and accurately label specimens.
Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and transportation.
Follow established safety, infection control, and quality assurance procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Ensure all equipment and work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Provide compassionate and professional service to patients and healthcare staff.
