Qualifications

• Proficient with labeling, handling and storing specimens.
• Familiar with OSHA biosafety guidelines and specimen transport requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection with care to minimize patient discomfort.
• Label, centrifuge, and prepare specimens according to protocol.
• Maintain accurate patient information and requisitions.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients and caregivers.
• Ensure proper storage and transport of specimens to maintain integrity.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and PPE protocols.
• Attend required departmental trainings and meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
