You will assist with phone refill orders, enter orders into the system, and help prepare medications for pharmacist check and dispatch, while developing essential skills in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy tech in training or license within required time frame.
• Ability to learn basic pharmacy technician skills under supervision.
• Strong math and computer skills to enter orders accurately.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• No criminal history related to working with drugs.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, handle inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding and processing of medications and supplies.
• Answer telephones, take refill orders, and enter orders into the system.
• Prepare medications for pharmacist check and for disbursement/shipment/delivery.
• Maintain records, stock prepackaged items, and manage inventory.
• Deliver supplies and assist in bulk compounding as needed.
• Work with staff to minimize medication errors.
