The role involves day-to-day support, cash handling, and patient interactions, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork within a community-based healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Must be able to maintain familiarity with a large number (1000-2000) of medications and be highly accurate.
• Must be customer service oriented and able to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Must be comfortable using general office equipment and computer/keyboard.
• Must be able to perform simple mathematical and logistical tasks accurately.
• Must manage time, follow procedures, and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Processes, fills prescriptions, verifies information, and adjudicates insurance claims.
• Prepares non-sterile compounds and packages medications.
• Maintains equipment and cleanliness of the department.
• Handles medication charges, operates registers, and manages financial transactions.
• Maintains records, prepares bank deposits, and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Orders, receives, and returns medications; manages inventory using PAR levels.
• Delivers medications and supplies to various locations.
• Interacts with patients, staff, and vendors.
