Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Per Diem Personal Care Assistant to support clients at home, assisting with daily living activities, hygiene, and light household tasks to help them remain in their own homes. Training provided, flexible hours, and local market pay.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, medication reminders, and accompanying clients to appointments. CPR and driver's license preferred; travel required in Durham area.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, transfers, and ambulation.
• Provides or secures a safe home environment and assists with household tasks essential to personal care.
• Accompanies clients to medical appointments or shopping and runs essential errands.
• Records vital signs as ordered and maintains dietary support and feeding as required.
• Provides medication reminders and ensures safe operation of equipment in the home.
