Job summary

Altra Homecare Group is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support patients in their homes, focusing on dignity, comfort, and safety. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and provide companionship under supervision.

Responsibilities include helping with laundry, meal prep, medication reminders, mobility support, and documenting care provided. CPR certification and a valid driver's license are required, with training completed per state laws.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
Current CPR certification.
Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient laundry when necessary.
Provide medication reminders.
Ensure patient safety.
Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor.
Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required.
Monitor and record patient temperature.
Assist patients with ambulation.
Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols.
Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines.
Offer bathing assistance.
Perform light housekeeping.
Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading.
