Senior Community Care of North Carolina PACE in Durham, NC is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support participants with non-skilled daily living activities at home and in the Day Center, following a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This is a meaningful, paid opportunity within a mission-driven healthcare setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of experience with frail or elderly populations, a valid driver’s license and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year’s experience with the frail or elderly population.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and transportation.
• Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before direct participant contact.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with non-skilled ADLs in the home and Day Center (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
• Assist with non-skilled restorative and supportive care (ambulating, positioning, transferring, etc.).
• Assist with IADLs (shopping, cleaning, laundry, meal prep, etc.).
• Assist with participant activities in the Day Center, including meal service and clean-up.
